Cornerstone Childcare Centre is a special part of the ministries here at Cornerstone. For over ten years we have been providing quality Christian childcare to our community and surrounding area. Our Childcare facility is fully licensed, and offers the highest quality of care and early childhood education.
We offer two programs, a full day program for ages 2-5, and a before and after school program for ages 6-12, including transportation to and from several local schools.
Our facility boasts a large, open space concept, with loads of natural light, and extra high ceilings. We also have a regularly inspected, fully fenced outdoor playground. As a part of The Salvation Army, our facility adheres to a very high level of internal guidelines in addition to those required by provincial ministry standards.

History
The daycare was opened September 1998. We are owned and operated by The Salvation Army. Cornerstone Childcare Centre is a ministry of and is located in the facility of The Salvation Army Cornerstone Community Church. This daycare was set up by a member of the church, Donna Wood, who is presently the director of the daycare.
Dedicated Staff
Our staff works with positive goals that provide the children with self esteem and model and teach appropriate everyday social skills. Staff throughout the day provides small group time to enhance learning, spontaneous interactions like a word of encouragement or hugs, and they join in having fun with the children. Staff teaches good morals and reminds them that God loves them. The children's behaviour is guided in a positive manner in order to promote self-discipline, ensure health and safety, and respect the rights of others.
